We
invite
organisations / art operators / curators to join in the realization of
this project: fundraising, organising, producing etc.
The
subject
and the starting
point is the Romanian old pastoral ballad Miorita, (…) that
describes death as a joyful marriage between human and cosmos, a feast
at which all nature participates. For the ballad and a translation,
please refer to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miorita,
http://spiritromanesc.go.ro/Miorita%20-eng.html.
Four poets and a visual artist from
various cultural backgrounds will meet at morsiena to re-write Miorita in their own, contemporary
language & context, during a collaborative residency.
They will translate their work into English (or have someone
doing it for them). We will provide translations
from English into Romanian and Hungarian. Perhaps it would be
interesting to write a Miorita together, as a collaborative process
>> it will be decided together by the artists during
the
project. We will
create an art installation in which we might integrate music produced during TransyMusic, as a means to
connect various Morisena projects and participating
artists. A booklet
will be produced
and published with all the texts in their original languages and with English,
Romanian and Hungarian translations.
